History

AELP London was formed in April 2018 when, following a strategic review of their services, the London Work Based Learning Alliance (LWBLA) invited AELP to assume responsibility for the management and development of their membership network.

Recognising the importance of retaining a London-focused membership organisation, particularly in responding to the Capital’s unique environment and precise lobbying challenges, a new delivery arm was formed, known as AELP London.

LBWLA members transitioned to AELP London in April 2018, joining a new organisation but one that shares LBWLA’s common values, principles and unswerving focus on supporting the development of the employment and skills sector, and its invaluable provider base.

The transition assures continuity for LWBLA members, as AELP hold an in-depth understanding of the London network and its objectives, through its role as an LWBLA Board observer.
